QA Engineer (BackEnd team)

About the Role

We are currently looking for the QA Engineer to focus on manual testing of the database and server-side logic, helping us ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and delivers the best possible experience to our customers.

Location:  Remote

The team is fully distributed, but we keep things connected with regular status meetings aligned to Canada/US time zones — so ideally, you’ll be comfortable working within those hours.

What will you do in this role:

• Execute test cases per the requirements.
• Submit and validate defects.
• Design test cases for new features and maintain core checklists.
• Test manually microservices (smoke, regression, sanity).
• Create and support test documentation.
  
  

About you: 

• At least 4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of testing theory, approaches and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and bug tracking processes.
• Practical experience with bug tracking systems (preferably JIRA).
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills.
  
  

Would be a plus: 

• Experience working with Git and familiarity with Docker and API clients.
• Experience working with Java (or desire to learn).
