User Experience Designer

About us:

Innervate (www.innervate.com, formerly RevJet), is a leading software company specializing in developing dynamic customer experience systems for enterprise users. We create advanced software solutions that empower marketers to provide personalized, intelligent experiences to their audiences across any channel.

About the Role

The UX role is integral to delivering a cohesive, intuitive product in an AI-driven environment. A UX designer is responsible for crafting the overall user experience of a web application suite, by conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, testing designs with users, and iterating based on feedback to ensure a seamless and intuitive interaction for the end user. This role requires deep familiarity with AI and agentic UX patterns, the ability to design for evolving AI-powered workflows, and expertise in leveraging AI tools to maximize design productivity. Key tasks include understanding user needs, information architecture, usability testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a user-centered design.

Location: This will be a remote position based in Europe

Key Responsibilities

1.    Define and Evolve the Overall Design Language

  • Establish, maintain, and periodically refine the design system

  • Govern a UI component library that enables consistency and scalability across the product suite.

  • Partner with branding or marketing teams to ensure the product visually aligns with broader brand standards.

2.    Create End-to-End User Experiences

  • Translate business and user requirements into conceptual wireframes, detailed mockups, and interactive prototypes.

  • Ensure that all interactive elements, workflows, and information architecture reflect real-world user scenarios.

  • Incorporate customer feedback and usability testing results into design refinements.

3.    Conduct User Research & Usability Testing

  • Plan and facilitate quick feedback loops with end users or proxies (e.g., internal stakeholders, pilot customers).

  • Use various testing methods—like A/B testing, guerrilla usability sessions, or observational studies—to gather real-world input on designs.

  • Interpret findings to make evidence-based design decisions, refining UI patterns and interactions.

4.    Design for AI-Driven Workflows and Agentic Interactions

  • Create UX patterns that accommodate AI-powered features, agentic behaviors, and dynamic content generation.

  • Design interfaces that gracefully handle AI uncertainty, progressive disclosure, and user-AI collaboration patterns.

  • Stay current with emerging AI/ML interaction paradigms and proactively adapt designs as AI capabilities evolve.

  • Leverage AI tools throughout the design process to accelerate iteration and explore more design alternatives.

5.    Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • With Product Management (PM): Receive clarified problem statements and requirements, then transform them into user-centric solutions. Provide insight into feasibility, complexity, and user preferences that can influence feature prioritization.

  • With Engineering: Collaborate on technical constraints, ensure feasibility, and guide front-end development through detailed design specs and ongoing communication.

  • With QA and Project Management: Share design artifacts, acceptance criteria, and user flow details to ensure proper testing coverage and alignment with project timelines.

 Key Deliverables

  1. Wireframes & Low-Fidelity Mockups. Deliver clear, structured visual representations of concepts that enable early validation, ideation, and collaborative brainstorming with cross-functional teams.

  2. High-Fidelity UI Mockups. Deliver pixel-perfect UI designs that define final visuals, interactions, and transitions, accompanied by detailed specifications to guide engineering implementation.

  3. Interactive Prototypes. Produce interactive prototypes that showcase user flows and complex interactions, enabling early user testing, stakeholder feedback, and collaboration with engineering teams. Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate iteration and explore multiple design directions.

  4. Design System & Component Library. Document and maintain standardized UI components and interaction patterns to ensure consistency across all features and applications. Refine existing components and collaborate closely with engineering teams to keep the component library up to date and aligned.

Required Skill Sets & Attributes

1.     User-Centric Mindset

  • Deep understanding of user research methodologies, empathy-driven design thinking.

  • Ability to advocate for user needs throughout the product lifecycle.

2.    Visual & UI Design

  • Strong understanding of UI solutions, including the design of complex and multi-layered interfaces. Expertise in creating scalable UI designs that handle feature-rich applications.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Figma, creating polished UI designs and ensure smooth handoff to development.

3.    Interaction Design & Prototyping Skills

  • Expert at creating highly interactive, clickable prototypes in Figma or similar tools that effectively simulate real product behavior.

  • Familiar with motion/animation best practices for smoother, more intuitive user flows.

  • No coding required—focus is on rapid prototyping using modern design tools and AI assistance.

4.    Communication & Collaboration

  • Capable of clearly explaining design rationale and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Skilled at gathering and synthesizing diverse inputs, from customer feedback to engineering constraints.

5.    AI-Native Design Approach

  • Deep familiarity with AI and agentic UX patterns, including conversational interfaces, progressive AI assistance, and human-AI collaboration models.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to rapidly evolving AI capabilities and proactively redesign workflows as AI technology advances.

  • Skilled at leveraging AI tools (e.g., AI-powered design assistants, generative design tools, AI-based user research) to maximize productivity and explore more design possibilities.

  • Willingness to adapt quickly, gather feedback, and refine solutions rather than striving for perfection on the first attempt.

  • Comfortable working in sprints or iterative cycles alongside engineering and product teams.

6.    Usability Testing & Analytics

  • Knowledge of usability testing best practices, user interview techniques, and analytics tools to track engagement and identify friction points.

  • Ability to measure, interpret, and act on data to continuously improve the user experience.
